As I celebrate my birthday today, I also take time to reflect. 

Despite this pandemic, I personally still have many things to be thankful for in this life: my family is with me, good health, career that I enjoy, true friends and supportive colleagues, great students, and opportunities that keep on coming. 

Dear Lord, thank you for all these, at sa marami pang iba. 

My birthday wish and prayer: matapos na ang pandemyang ito.

I look forward to a day that we can now be with each other anytime we want, no required physical distancing, no face masks and no face shields anymore. Everyone is safe.

I look forward to a day, standing again in front of my class, in a freezing temp of a room, seeing my students face to face as we talk about our shared passion.

Only if we have excellent governance, that my friend will be soon. Kaya mag-register, pumili at bumoto nang tama! 

Last year, natapat din na lockdown ang aking kaarawan then NCR Plus happens. Ay, ang galeng. Salamat ah. Haha. 

We should not go back to normal, instead, let’s aim to be better!
