Here in FEU, we are celebrating the CHAMPIONS in you. In each one of us here. 

Imagine this. This Class of 2022 in front of me has resiliently and bravely survived many struggles and challenges in their student life! 

• From the very first batch who experienced K-12;
• The first batch for the 2018 curriculum of DepCom that offers Convergent Media and Digital Cinema tracks;
• The batch who stayed at home and attended online classes for many months during the Covid-19 pandemic;
• The batch who managed to be back here in Manila for a hybrid mode of learning;
• For pioneering the first-ever Tamaraw Media Awards;
• The batch who stood their ground and  battled for the right in the midst of social issues during the Duterte regime;
• The batch who went to the streets and voiced out their advocacies for good governance by endorsing the ideal candidates;
• The batch who will now be responding to the call of times and history.

Especially now, more than ever. 

Indeed, your batch is the NEW WAVE OF CHAMPIONS! All Communication students in each level are CHAMPIONS!

Grabe! Ikaw na! 

All your professors from the Department of Communication, some of them are here, are very much proud of what you have become! 

BRAVE TAMARAWS! 

Kayo ay inspirasyon sa mga Juniors, Sophomores, and Freshies! Thank you for this legacy! 

Few weeks from now, you will be taking the road of PICC.  

Naniniwala ako, saanmang industriya kayo mapunta, kayo ay mananatiling may alam, may pakialam. Mananatiling mulat at naglilingkod sa bayan! 

Hinahamon tayo ng panahon at kasaysayan! 

Yun ang tunay na kampyon!! 

That’s what we celebrate in today’s gathering! 

Rest assured that the Tam Awards serves as your legacy. We have dreams of making it bigger and bigger every year! Aalagaan natin ito.
