“Life begins at 40.”
This is indeed true, at least for me and for the new chapter that is about to open in my life starting this year.
I want to become a lawyer because I believe the law is a powerful tool for protecting human rights and human dignity. Since 2019, I’ve led a university-wide film festival that promotes conversations and critical discourse on human rights and the Sustainable Development Goals. Through that experience, I realized that while advocacy and storytelling raise awareness, legal expertise creates structural change.
Pursuing a Juris Doctor is both a long-time dream and a deliberate decision for me to expand my ability to serve society and make a meaningful impact.
I recently passed the PUP College of Law Entrance Examination after going through its 3 stages: written exam, oral exam/panel interview, and Dean’s interview.
Why PUP?
I am choosing PUP College of Law because of its strong culture of public service.
I want to be trained in an institution that produces socially conscious and resilient lawyers.
PUP’s commitment to serving ordinary Filipinos aligns with my advocacy and my long-term goal of using the law for the public good.
My law school journey begins in 2026.
May the good Lord be with me in every step that I take.
