Y oh Y! All about YOU and YOUTH is a youth-oriented talk show of HYLEAP (Hagonoy Young Leaders Program) that entertains, educates, and inspires its target audience by discussing issues that involve the youth sector and its community. Through this program, we also promote the advocacy of servant-leadership by providing them stories of achievements in their own field and how they use their time, skills, and talents for the benefits of other.

In every episode, the show has specific topic to discuss by the hosts and guests with audience participation. We invite at least 4-5 guests that could relate to that topic aside from the special production number of talented young performers.

EPISODE 1: Young Achievers, Young Leaders

As HYLEAP aims to develop the welfare of the youth sector particularly in Hagonoy, Bulacan, this talk show is also a ‘more than the usual’ way of the program to reach out the youth in our beloved town. This is done by showing them a live production of a talk show that will definitely inform, educate, entertain, and inspire its target audience by discussing all about issues that involve the youth.

On December 6, 2008, HYLEAP had officially launched its pilot episode as part of the celebration of Youth Month dubbed as YOUTHFEST 2008. The very first episode that they produced was entitled “Young Achievers, Young Leaders”.

HYLEAP Y oh Y is hosted by Ms. Amarie Tolentino and Mr. RJ Tubig. The staff and crew are the HYLEAP Core Team and HYLC Alumni.

Ang kabuuan ng episode ay tumalakay sa mga kabataang leader na nagtagumpay sa kanya kanyang mga larangan sa murang edad pa lamang tulad ng mga naging panauhin na naimbitahan upang mag-share ng kani-kaniyang learning experiences na sina KID CAMAYA, Pinoy Idol Finalist at isang Alumnus ng Ayala Young Leaders Congress, PATRICK ERASTAIN, Program Manager ng Iamchangemaker Project Grant Competition at isang miyembro ng British Council Philippines, at si JR DEMECAIS, isang alumnus ng Ayala Young Leaders Congress at aktibo bilang Youth Advocate.

Ito ay ginanap sa Sangguniang Bayan ng Hagonoy na dinaluhan ng mga mag-aaral mula sa High Schools ng ating bayan.

EPISODE 2: Goodbye High School, Hello College

Noong nakaraang linggo po lamang, March 8, 2009, ay matagumpay pong naidaos ng Hagonoy Young Leaders Program, sa tulong ng ilang mga mag-aaral ng Saint Anne’s Catholic High School, at Saint Mary’s Academy of Hagonoy, ang isa na namang “Y oh Y” episode na pinamagatang, “GOODBYE HIGH SCHOOL, HELLO COLLEGE!”.

Tulad ng inaasahan, ang talk show ay naging masaya, entertaining, at makabuluhan para sa mga dumalong mag-aaral mula sa Mayor Ramona S. Trillana National High School, Sta. Monica National High School, San Pedro High School, Iba National High School, Hagonoy Institute, Saint Anne’s Catholic High School, at Saint Mary’s Academy of Hagonoy.

Sa kabuuan, ang talk show ay umikot sa mga usapin ukol sa pagtatapos ng mga mag-aaral high school at sa kanilang pagpasok sa mas malaking mundo ng kolehiyo na binigyang lalim ng mga naanyayahang panauhin na kinabibilangan nina Ms. Mikaela Fudolig, isang 16 year old Suma Cum Laude at kasalukuyang nagtuturo sa Unibersidad ng Pilipinas; Mr. Wilson Espiritu, isa sa mga outstanding student leader ng University of Regina Carmeli, at alumnus ng Ayala Young Leaders Congress; Ms. Rohaniza “Honey” Sumndad, isa ring alumnus ng Ayala Young Leaders Congress, at Philippine director ng Asia America Initiative, a group that advocates peace through education and community development; Mr. Irwin Pagdanganan na isang young professional bilang International Banking Assistant sa METROBANK; Ms. Alyssa Gonzalez, active high school student from San Pedro High School; at Ms. Espie Balatbat, Director of Student Affairs ng Baliuag University.

Ang naturang episode ng Y oh Y ay mula sa mahusay na pag- produce ni ISAAC ERN GALANG bilang PROJECT MANAGER. Si Isaac ay isa sa mga graduates ng HYLC 2008. Ito  ay isang katunayan na ang mga HYLC graduates ay nagkakaroon  ng pagkakataong maglunsad ng mga proyekto ayon sa natutunan  nila sa Congress bilang mga young leaders.

EPISODE 3: Ako’y Kabataang Hagonoenyo…Astig Ako!

And now, after its humble beginning at small venue, due to persistent public demand, Y oh Y was produced once again and became the biggest event of the year so far at Hagonoy for the youth. Unlike the last two episodes, it was shown at much bigger venue at Patio of National Shrine of Saint Anne. This time, the whole community of Hagonoy was invited to watch the program.

On August 30, 2009, the topic of the show was about the significant role of the youth in nation building; hence, the episode is entitled “Ako’y Kabataang Hagonoeno…ASTIG ako!” Astig na kabataan from different high schools in Hagonoy as well as PCY-Sta. Ana prepared production numbers specially choreographed for the musical talk show. This episode also served as a celebration of Youth and at the same time, a big promotion in part of Hagonoy Young Leaders Program to gain support from the community.

Y oh Y was hosted by Ms. Amarie Tolentino and Mr. RJ Tubig who serve as new young personalities in Hagonoy with Nikson Martin who became their guest co-host in its third episode. The core team and HYLC alumni serve as the volunteer staff and crew of the said talk show, directed by Herwin Cabasal, head of HYLEAP Media Production Unit.

As always, the show presumes that the target audience will be able to realize deeply the role of the youth sector in community development and national progress.

EPISODE 4: Boto Hagonoenyo Para sa Pagbabago

Patio- Sta. Ana/ April 11, 2010

Pagkatapos ng Talakayan noong gabing iyon ay kaagad na isinunod ang Y oh Y! All about YOU and YOUTH para sa kanyang ikaapat na episode. Ang Y oh Y ay isang youth-oriented talk show ng HYLEAP. At sa kanilang episode 4 ay tinalakay nila ang “step-by-step” process ng makabagong paraan ng pagboto. Ipinakita sa bayan ang itsura ng PCOS machine at ang bagong balota. Nabigyan din ng pagkakataon ang audience na magtanong mula sa mga bisita na sina Gilbert Palogan ng COMELEC, JR Demecais ng YouthVote Philippines, at Rannie Deocampo ng PPCRV.

Kasabay nito ay ipinakilala rin sa bayan ang pinakabagong dance group at sila ay tinatawag na HYMOVERS (Hagonoy Young Movers) bilang mga official dancers/ performers ng HYLEAP. Pinamumunuan ito ni Robin Rae Biong na siyang choreographer ng grupo.

Sa kabuuan ng dalawang programa ay isinagawa rin ang MOCK ELECTION para sa mga kandidato ng Mayor at Vice Mayor. Sa pamamagitan nito ay sinubukan ang pulso ng mga Hagonoenyo kung sino ang kanilang napupusuang mga kandidato.

Taus-pusong nagpapasalamat ang HYLEAP sa mga taong nakiisa at nanood sa dalawang programang ito.

Ipinagmamalaki rin naman ng organisasyon sina Ihna Santos na siyang naging Project Manager ng Episode 4 ng Y oh Y at si Nikki Coronel bilang Project Manager naman ng Talakayan 2010. Si Nikki ay naging guest co-host din ng Y oh Y episode 4 kasama pa rin ang main hosts na sina RJ Tubig at Amarie Tolentino.

Ang programang ito ay mula pa rin sa pangunguna nina Mildred Ople (Program Manager, HYLEAP), Rizza Ramos (Head, Internal Affairs Unit of HYLEAP at Executive Producer ng Talakayan at Y oh Y), at Herwin Benedictos Cabasal bilang direktor pa rin at Head ng Media Production Unit. Kasama pa rin ang mga aktibong miyembro mula sa HYLC Batch 1 and 2.

EPISODE 5: Online Kabataan, Trending Na!

#onlinekabataan. Matagumpay na naihatid ng Hagonoy Young Leaders Program (Hyleap) ang youth-oriented talk show na Y Oh Y Episode 5 na may temang “Online Kabataan, Trending Na”! Ito ay nagtanghal sa Sta. Monica Elementary School covered court noong Disyembre 8, 2012.

#HYmovers. Muling nagpakita ng kanilang galing sa pag-awit at pagsayaw ang HYmovers, isang sing and dance group na nabuo mula sa Y oh Y talk show sa pamumuno ng aming resident choreographer- Robin Rae Biong.

#socialmediaexperts. Dino Balabo, Rianha Rosenhil, at Jerome Lucas: Mga kabarkadang naka-chat namin sa Episode 5. Tinalakay ang mga isyung nakapaloob sa Social Media para sa mga kabataan.

#servantleaders. Mga kabataang alumni ng Hagonoy Young Leaders Congress. Sama-sama para sa katuparan ng isang proyekto na ginawa para sa kapwa kabataan.
